Hutcheon & Pearce hosts CCE Demo Days
Customers demo the latest John Deere CCE including; skid steers, track loaders and mini excavators
Hutcheon & Pearce recently held two exciting
Compact Construction Demo Days at the
Griffith and Wagga Wagga locations, offering customers a hands-on experience with John Deere’s Compact Construction Equipment (CCE), including skid steers, track loaders, and mini excavators. These events, organised by Darren Gray, Group Sales Manager for Turf, CCE, and Lifestyle, showcased the advanced technology and versatility of John Deere’s CCE lineup, and highlighted why more customers are turning to Hutcheon & Pearce for their construction needs.
Darren emphasised the importance of these events in raising
awareness about Hutcheon & Pearce’s offerings in the CCE
space. “The John Deere name is synonymous in the agriculture and turf space. Customers are now realising they can turn to H&P for their compact construction needs as well, so these events are the perfect opportunity to showcase what this product can do in an actual work environment” he noted. The Demo Days provided a unique opportunity for customers to explore the capabilities of various machines, with a particular focus on the advanced technology that makes John Deere equipment so competitive.
The Demo Days were designed to be comprehensive and informative, allowing customers to fully understand the
differences and benefits of each machine. A highlight of the day was the demonstration of the 333G Compact Track
Loader that is SmartGrade ready. Fitted up with a Dozer Blade, attendees got to experience how the 2D Slope Control
can enhance their work productivity. Furthermore, attendees learned about the crucial differences in measuring operating capacity between skid steers and compact track loaders. Darren explained, “Comparing units using the same SAE standards is critical, and that’s where the differences between these two types of equipment become evident. Skid steers are calculated at 50% operating capacity, whereas track loaders are rated at 35%. It’s essential to get these measurements right to avoid customers investing in machines that won’t meet their needs.” The team took the time to ensure customers understood these nuances, helping them make informed decisions tailored to their specific requirements.
Mini excavators were also a major focus during the events. The team demonstrated the critical factors affecting their operation, such as weight, width, height, length, maximum digging depth, engine power, and bucket breakout force. The mini excavators’ piston pumps were highlighted for their superior performance, and the variable-width upper carriage undercarriage was showcased for its ability to work efficiently in tighter job site spots.
Hutcheon & Pearce’s commitment to staying at the forefront of CCE technology is ongoing with more demo days set to
be organised. By equipping our sales team with in-depth knowledge and practical experience, they ensure that customers receive tailored solutions that meet their diverse needs. The benefits of connectivity in these machines were also a key highlight, with features that allow operators to track their equipment in real time, monitor fuel usage, and optimise efficiency. This level of control, combined with practical aspects like joystick sensitivity and security features, significantly enhances the operator’s experience and productivity. Giving customers the chance to see these features in operation first hand is a game changer.
Darren plans to organise more Demo Days in the near future, and he encourages customers to reach out to their local Hutcheon & Pearce branch to inquire about upcoming dates. Darren said “It’s important that our customers know we’re here for their construction needs and that John Deere offers unmatched technology and value in this space.
