Please be aware fraudulent emails appearing to be sent from accounts@hutcheonandpearce.com.au have been received by some customers.
Scammers have intercepted emails with customer invoices and statements attached and have modified bank account details. They have also contacted a small number of customers via email claiming accounts are overdue and pushing for payment. The matter is currently being investigated.
It’s important to note this email interception happened outside our network. We are confident there have been no data breaches inside our system and customer records remain secure. Customers should also be aware that our bank account details have not changed.
If customers receive suspicious correspondence, we ask that they contact their local H&P branch to notify them. Any customers who believe they have made a payment to a false bank account need to notify their bank directly. Scams can also be reported through Scamwatch.
